India Addendum
This page adds India-specific terms on top of the Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Refund & Cancellation Policy, and Financial Disclaimer — it doesn't replace them. Where anything here conflicts with the general policies, this addendum controls for users in India.
1. Pricing and currency
For users in the India region, guided reports (“Build My Financial Plan”, “Get Rid of My Loan”) are priced in Indian Rupees at ₹99 each. Selecting a different region/currency on the site does not change the price or currency of a report already purchased, and India-only calculators (PPF, Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, NPS) are shown only when India is the selected region, since they have no equivalent outside India.
2. Not SEBI-registered
We are not a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser or Research Analyst under Indian securities law. Nothing on this site is personalized investment advice under Indian regulation; it is an illustrative calculation tool. Consult a SEBI-registered adviser for personalized investment advice.
3. Indian tax treatment shown on this site
Where a calculator or report shows Indian capital-gains tax figures, it uses a simplified reading of current rules (July 2024 Budget): equity gains held over 1 year are taxed at 12.5% LTCG above a ₹1.25L/year exemption, and under 1 year at 20% STCG; other assets (gold, silver, property, land) follow a 12.5% LTCG rate if held 2+ years, or an assumed 20% slab rate if shorter. Home loan interest may be deductible up to ₹2L/year under Section 24(b) for a self-occupied property, and principal repayment may count under the ₹1.5L combined Section 80C limit. Commercial rental income above ₹20L/year may attract 18% GST. These are illustrative summaries, not tax advice — Budget changes and your personal circumstances can change all of the above; verify with a chartered accountant.
4. Your rights under India's DPDP Act
If you're a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent for its processing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Contact us to exercise any of these rights — see the Privacy Policy for what we collect and why.
5. Payments
Payments from India are processed by our payment processor in compliance with applicable RBI guidelines for online payment aggregation. We never see or store your card, UPI, or net-banking credentials directly.
6. Governing law
For users in India, these terms are governed by the laws of India, and courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute that isn't resolved informally first.
