Compare now →A raw, undeveloped plot purchased purely as an appreciation asset, with no rental income of its own.
Best for: A long-term appreciation bet in a specific location you understand well, where you can absorb the illiquidity.
A lump sum deposited with a bank for a fixed tenure at a fixed, guaranteed interest rate.
Best for: Capital you can't afford to risk — an emergency fund, or a short-term goal within a couple of years.
What holding costs does land actually have?
Property tax, potential fencing/security costs, and in some cases loan interest if financed — none of which land earns back the way rental income offsets a property's costs, which is why the holding-cost field matters here.
Where do these numbers actually come from?
The same calculation engine that powers our standalone calculators and Compare Lab — nothing here is a separate or simplified estimate. Every assumption (rate, tenure, tax) is visible and adjustable once you open the comparison with your own numbers.
